Can People Really Change Their Financial Habits?

I recently read an article asking this question: can people change their financial behavior? The article went into different budgeting and savings systems that demonstrated how to mentally reposition savings that changed most outcomes.

The elephant in the room is that millions have already changed their financial habits by participating in 401(k) plans or making IRA contributions. With over 2 trillion dollars accumulated over the last 30 years, it shows how combining tax incentive and matching contributions help many amass wealth that they would have never experienced. Just imagine what happens if the same concept started at birth. Small amounts of money compounded over a lifetime and you’re talking a lot of dough. Let’s talk the 401(k) momentum and do the same thing for our youth and watch our financial problems diminish over time. Yes people can change their financial behavior.
